West Melbourne Elementary School for Science to
Host Informational Meetings 

WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – West Melbourne Elementary School for Science (WMSS), an open enrollment school of choice for students in grades K-6, located at 2255 Meadowlane Avenue in West Melbourne, will be hosting parent and student informational meetings about the school, curriculum, application and enrollment procedures on Monday, January 23, 2012, and Monday, January 30, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  The school will host a tour on February 1, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. beginning in the cafeteria. Tours are for prospective parents and students who may wish to visit the school and have signed up at one of the informational meetings.

Applications for the 2012-2013 school year will be available beginning December 1, 2011 online and in the front office at WMSS.   Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on February 3, 2012. The lottery will take place on February 17, 2012.  Siblings of students currently enrolled at WMSS must complete an application and will receive enrollment preference based upon space available.  Sibling applications must also be received by the official deadline of February 3, 2012.
