CBJSHS Teacher Receives Community Hero Award
Cocoa Beach, Florida – Terri Friedlander, the Director of the Academy of International Business at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School (CBJSHS) has received the Community Hero Award from Community Credit Union (CCU). As part of her recognition, Friedlander was presented with a $100 award, plus a $100 award for a charity of her choice, to be presented in their name. She also received a keepsake certificate. About the Community Hero Award CCU honors those who excel in helping people and invites the public to nominate individuals who work in the following professions: education, active military, police, fire and medical personnel. The nominee must have made a significant difference in the lives of other individuals or organizations. One person will be selected per month from the nominations submitted to CCU. About the Academy of International Business at CBJSHS The Academy of International Business at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School is a new academic program designed to provide students with the business and financial skills necessary for success in any professional career. Membership is open to current ninth and 10th graders interested in developing the appreciation, knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to work and live in a global marketplace.
