Five DeLaura Middle School Staff Members Receive Local Grants
SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA – Five DeLaura Middle School staff members have been selected as recipients of grant funding and technology packages sponsored by local businesses and organizations.
- Satellite Beach Women’s Club awarded teachers Cynthia Mitchell and Angie Oswalt each with a $500.00 educational grant to be used for classroom projects.
- Southeast Petro, Inc. of Brevard selected Principal Claudia Shirley to receive a $500.00 ExxonMobil Education Alliance grant targeted to improve school-wide Science and Mathematics initiatives.
- Brevard Schools’ Education Technology Department awarded teacher Chris Zeuli with a comprehensive Nook technology package, which will be used to enhance classroom civics-related instruction.
- Science teacher, Slavka Roselip, received a $750 grant from the Florida Sport Fishing Association. These funds will be used to offset travel costs to the Newfound Harbor Marine Institute Sea Camp field trip located in Big Pine Key.
